The island’s first and currently only, professional standard 18 hole golf course, opened in 2003 offering a gorgeous location in the hills above Maenam.

The Santiburi Country Club is a championship golf course landscaped on the mountain of Koh Samui. Each of the 18 holes on this 6,930 yards, par-72 course, has its own unique character and challenges. From steep uphill and downhill slopes to winding fairways that cuts into the coconut forest to cliffs and mountain creeks, Santiburi is simply a most unique golf courses built in perfect harmony with its natural surroundings.

For those needing a bit of practice the Samui Driving Range is located next to Bandon Hospital. Facilities include covered driving tees, a putting green and snack bar.

Horse Riding

If you enjoy exploring the great outdoors, soaking in the natural environment how about some horse riding.

Ride on thoroughbreds as well as local horses, all with a soft spot for children. Rates are around 1000 baht per hour.

The Sundowner Horse Riding facility is located at Laem Sor, Ban Taley on the south coast. You can take a horse ride either by the sea or along countryside paths. A wonderful calming experience for the whole family and great fun for kids.

Butterfly Garden

Butterflies are among the most easily observed natural wonders of Samui and one of the Islands wildlife riches. You can observe many species of tropical butterflies at this huge beautiful netted hillside location with winding pathways. Butterflies only have a life span of two weeks, so the butterfly garden raises its own. Therefore a great display of caterpillars and cocoons can also be seen.

Situated in the picturesque area of Leam Set, the gardens are open from 9 am – 6 pm. Price is around 150 baht for adults and 60 Baht children under 12.

Experience the thrill of firing live rounds using a wide variety of weapons from 45 caliber magnums, automatic hand guns, shot guns and even machine guns all under the careful guidance of instructors. Samui Aquarium and Tiger Zoo

An awesome aquarium with a marvelous collection of tropical marine life, such as sharks, turtles and tropical fish, and you will explore a diverse selection of different kinds of fish and undersea creatures from the Gulf of Thailand.

Located in Hua Thanon, the aquarium hosts many local species of coral fish, huge cat fishes and several sharks such as leopard shark and black tip shark.
